"We fell in love with The Barnard Inn as soon as we arrived and saw it for the first time in person -- absolutely gorgeous property complete with a pond/gazebo, beautiful flowers and garden, and barn. The photos online do not do it justice. We were able to eat at the restaurant during this visit and the food was outstanding. The decision was made! We planned our wedding in 3 months so, needless to say, it was a stressful time... but from the moment we started working with Corinna and Will, we were immediately put at ease. We did not use a wedding planner, so we did a lot of communicating with Corinna during the process and she helped us figure out everything we needed to do in the short period of time we had. When it was time for menu planning, Will sat down with us and listened to our vision of what kind of food/beverage we wanted, down to making special meals for those guests with allergies. He was so thoughtful and guided us through our indecisiveness with incredible patience and professionalism. The day of the wedding could not have been more perfect - and I'm sure a lot of people say that about their own wedding - but we truly mean it, in every way. We had our ceremony by the pond/under the gazebo, then cocktails on the lawn, dinner under a tent, and dancing in the barn. It was so unique and fun to take advantage of using all of the different spaces the Barnard Inn had to offer. The locally sourced food was AMAZING, drinks flowed generously, and the service from her staff was flawless. We had a band and rocked the barn late into the night - GREAT sound and space for dance floor. Many guests told us it was the best wedding they have ever been to, and we don't think they were just saying that! We plan to go back and visit The Barnard Inn the next time we are in VT, and for years to come!"
